Portuguese Tax Returns: IRS Annex H (Deductible Household Expenses)

Annex H of the IRS is where you can declare individual or household expenses for health, education, household expenses and real estate.

This is made easier by the e-invoice system ('e-Fatura'), which automatically collects any relevant expenses (providing you supply your NIF when making any purchases that may qualify).

It is in Box 6C that you can choose whether or not to keep the amounts previously reported to to the tax authorities through the e-Fatura system.

If the values ​​reported by the tax authorities are incorrect, it is only possible to change health, education, household and real estate expenses, rather than the amounts of general family expenses and the VAT tax benefit.
